FAQ

Q1. What does “affordable quality” actually mean at TENNCLOCK?
A: It means we spend where it matters — reinforced stitching, dependable zippers, functional compartments, and materials tested for real daily use — and cut costs in areas that don’t affect performance, such as minimalist packaging and a direct-to-consumer model. TENNCLOCK is built to be reliable without the premium markup.

Q2. Is TENNCLOCK a budget brand, or a brand that happens to be affordable?
A: We are the latter. Our goal is not to make the cheapest bag possible; it is to make a bag that performs at the level most people actually need, at a price that does not force a trade-off against rent, travel, or tuition.

Q3. Where does TENNCLOCK ship, and which markets do you design for?
A: Our primary markets are the United States and Europe, with growing availability in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Product sizing and materials are calibrated for these regions — for example, carry-on dimensions are checked against major US and European airline limits, and soft-side materials are selected with humidity and heat exposure in mind for tropical and Middle Eastern use.

Q4. Do you have a physical store, or is TENNCLOCK online-only?
A: TENNCLOCK is primarily an online brand. Selling directly allows us to keep prices lower and pass the savings to customers. Our FAQ and support team are set up to answer sizing, compatibility, and warranty questions before you buy, so you can make the same informed decision you would in a store.

Q5. Will your carry-on fit major US and European airlines?
A: Our carry-on travel bags are designed around the most widely accepted limits. For US carriers, the common ceiling is 22 × 14 × 9 inches (including wheels and handles); for many European carriers, 55 × 40 × 23 cm is the reference point. We recommend measuring your specific airline’s limit and comparing it to the product dimensions on each product page, because budget carriers such as Ryanair and Wizz Air can be significantly stricter.

Q6. What is the difference between your carry-on and checked luggage in terms of durability?
A: Checked luggage needs to survive conveyor belts and rough handling, so we use thicker shell materials or higher-denier soft-side fabrics and reinforced wheel housings on those models. Carry-ons prioritize light weight and maneuverability because they stay with you. Both are built to the same quality standard; the difference is where the stress is expected to come from.

Q7. Are the wheels and handles replaceable if they wear out?
A: On most TENNCLOCK wheeled models, the wheels are mounted with screws rather than rivets, which means a replacement can often be done at home with a matching part rather than requiring a repair shop. Telescopic handles are generally not user-replaceable, but they are covered under our warranty for functional defects. Contact support with your order number and a photo, and we will advise on the fastest resolution.

Q8. Can I expand the capacity of my travel bag if I buy souvenirs?
A: Select soft-side travel bags and backpacks feature an expandable zipper that adds several centimeters of depth. This is useful for return trips, but note that an expanded bag may exceed airline carry-on depth limits. We recommend checking the unexpanded dimensions against your airline first, and using the expansion only for the return leg if you are not gate-checking.

Q9. Will the laptop sleeve fit my device?
A: Laptop sleeves are sized to the device’s screen size, and a correct fit matters: a 15.6-inch laptop needs a sleeve designed for that size so it does not shift during commutes. Each backpack product page lists the padded sleeve’s maximum device dimensions in centimeters and inches. If your laptop is in a bulky protective case, size up to the next sleeve tier.

Q10. Is there enough structure to protect a laptop without making the bag heavy?
A: Yes. We use a padded laptop compartment with a false bottom — meaning the device rests above the bottom of the bag rather than against it — and a structured back panel. The goal is protection without adding the weight of a fully rigid frame, which matters for commuters who carry the bag for extended periods.

Q11. Are TENNCLOCK backpacks suitable for school and university use?
A: Yes. Our everyday backpacks are designed for the school-to-commute-to-weekend continuum: a main compartment large enough for A4 folders or a 15-inch laptop, a quick-access front pocket, and side pockets for a water bottle. They are not intended for heavy textbook loads beyond what a standard student carries, but they are built for daily, repeated use.

Q12. Do you offer bags with water-resistant properties for rainy commutes?
A: Many of our polyester and nylon soft-side bags have a water-repellent coating that handles light rain and spills. They are not fully waterproof — seams and zippers are not sealed — so we recommend a rain cover for sustained downpours or for commuting with a laptop in heavy weather. The product page for each bag notes whether the fabric is water-repellent or water-resistant.

Q13. What materials do you use, and how do they hold up over time?
A: We use polyester and nylon soft-side fabrics, and polycarbonate or polypropylene shells on hard-side models. Polyester and nylon resist scuffs and are easy to spot-clean; polycarbonate flexes under impact rather than shattering, which is why it is used on hardside luggage where cracking is the main concern. We choose the material based on the bag’s use case, not a single “best” material.

Q14. How do I clean my TENNCLOCK bag?
A: For soft-side polyester or nylon, use warm water with mild soap and a soft brush on stains, then air-dry completely before storage. For polycarbonate hardshells, wipe with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive powders that can dull the surface. Do not machine-wash any TENNCLOCK bag. Full care instructions are included with every product and available on the product page.

Q15. How does TENNCLOCK keep quality consistent at an affordable price point?
A: We keep the range focused on a small number of core silhouettes rather than releasing dozens of new styles each season. Fewer styles mean more consistent material sourcing, tighter quality control at the factory, and less waste. The savings from that operational discipline are what allow us to maintain a lower price without compromising on the parts that affect daily use.

Q16. How long does shipping take to the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East?
A: Estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout based on your destination and chosen shipping method. As a general guide, US and major European addresses typically fall within 7–12 business days after dispatch; Southeast Asia and the Middle East may take 4–18 business days depending on customs clearance. Tracking is provided for every order.

Q17. What is your return policy, and who pays for return shipping?
A: Unused items in original condition with tags can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. For domestic returns in the US and major European markets, we provide a prepaid return label. For international returns from outside those regions, the customer arranges and pays for return shipping, and original shipping charges and customs duties are non-refundable. This is consistent with standard cross-border luggage return practice, and we state it upfront so there are no surprises.

Q18. What if my bag arrives damaged or is the wrong item?
A: Contact support within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. If the problem is damage in transit or an incorrect shipment, we cover return shipping and send a replacement or issue a full refund. Please inspect your bag promptly upon arrival — this window exists because transit damage claims are most effectively resolved with the carrier when reported quickly.

Q19. What does the TENNCLOCK warranty cover?
A: Our limited warranty covers functional defects in materials and workmanship — zipper failure under normal use, wheel or handle malfunction not caused by accident, stitching separation, and similar manufacturing issues — for a defined period from purchase (the exact term varies by product line and is stated on each product page and warranty card). It does not cover cosmetic wear, accidental damage, or damage caused by airline handling, which is consistent with how limited luggage warranties are structured across the industry.

Q20. How do I make a warranty claim, and what happens next?
A: Email support with your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photos. We review claims within 2 business days. Depending on the issue, we will arrange a replacement part, a repair at a local partner where available, or a replacement product. For customers in the US and Europe, we aim to resolve most claims without requiring the customer to ship the entire bag back; for other regions, the resolution method is confirmed during the claim process based on the specific defect and destination.
